Events and Other Services

The Drummers from the East

The Drummers from the East are an all-abilities drumming ensemble in the Eastern region of Melbourne who meet weekly to learn African rhythms. They are regularly invited to participate in celebratory events in the wider community.

The Drummers from the East, Drumming Circle’s performance group, has been invited to many events over the years. For 8 years we performed at the Buddha’s Day/Multicultural festival at Federation Square. We performed at the Surrey Hills Music Festival, and many others. We also performed at numerous disability specific events being regulars in recent years at the Melbourne disability Expo. In 2020 our ensemble did a road trip to perform at the Having a Say Conference at Deakin University.
